Inspire 1 Camera Systems

The DJI Inspire 1 is the worl's most advance fully integrated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV or Drone) within

the catagory of ultra-light commercial civilian drones.

The Inspire 1 comes standard with two camera systems:

  • Low Altitude stabilizing camera with Untrasonic Altitude Sonor Sensors & automated collision avoidence system.

  • Zemuse X3 4K Ultra High Definition Cinematic Camera

The Low Altitude stabilizing camera with Untrasonic Altitude Sonor Sensors and Automated Collision Avoidence System
Located under the bottom of the UAV allows the Pilot to turn off the Satelitte GPS system and to control the UAV at low altitudes or within building structures using this system to keep the drone stabilized and controlable within a closed or unstable environment.

The Zemuse X3 4K Ultra High Definition Cinematic Camera
Is a highly advanced aspherical camera that provides the highest aerodynamics and a 360 degree unobstructed observation. The camera has a CMOS 12.4M pixal sensor with an ISO range of 100-3200. The optics are 20mm (35mm format equivalent) f/2.8 focus  iris and a 94 degree diagonal FOV. It has an infinate focus range and has a burst shooting mode of 7fps at full pixals and a shutter speed of 8-1/8000sec. An EV Range of -3 - +3 1/3 and supports Time lapsed 5/7/10/20/30 seconds.

As you can see from the above specifications, this is a highly advanced UAV camera that is a pioneer of its class.

Together these advanced cameras provide us with the most advanced areial filming platform currently available.

From this benchmark we have further customized our Inspire 1 UAV Drones with more advanced visual systems that aids in its flight control giving the pilot a personal camera (other than the payload camea) with which to pilot more accurately the UAV. This is called the:

Pilot POV camera. (Point of View).
This camera allows the pilot to operate the aircraft with his own camera system so that a trained Camera Operator can operate the X3 camera on a separate remote controller, that will be taking imagry for our clients.

This is the "standard configeration" From here we can change our payloads or add a second payload to achieve new mission objectives.

Zenmuse X 5 Camera system
the Zenmuse X5 series, you have the world’s first set of Micro Four Thirds cameras built specifically for aerial photography and cinematography. Bringing unparalleled imaging quality together with integrated 3-axis gimbal stabilization and remarkable ease of use, each empowers you to shoot and complete jobs like never before.

Zenmuse X5

  • 4K video at up to 30fps

  • Record at 4096×2160 (24fps) or1920x1080 (60fps)

  • 16MP photographs

  • 12.8 stops of dynamic range

Zenmuse X5R

  • Lossless cinema 4K RAW video

  • Record at 4096x2160 (24fps) or  1920x1080 (60fps)

  • Average 1.7 Gbps bitrate (2.4Gbps maximum)

  • Removable 512GB SSD

  • 16MP photographs

  • 12.8 stops of dynamic range

Zenmuse X5 system gives you the ability that previously could only be achieved by strapping on high-end cinematic cameras to drones. The limitations of that were the poor aerodynamics and also the limited control of the camera whilst in flight. You want to make camera adjustments - you had to land the drone.

Now you get the top performing cameras with dynamic in-flight full camera control of all functions.

We have just made the most advanced commercial civilian drone in the world even better.

Integrated Thermal Camera

The camera on the DJI Zenmuse XT is developed by FLIR. It provides high-sensitivity (50mK) infrared scanning at 640/30 fps or 336/60 fps depending on the camera model. This sensitivity provides accurate temperature measurements ideal for analytics and telemetry. Both cameras are available with four lens options to meet different business needs. Stabilized and controlled by a custom DJI gimbal, it provides smooth, clear imagery and 360 degrees of seamless rotational movement.

Image Enhancement Software

Infra-red imagery requires optimization to ensure maximum definition for capturing information. The Zenmuse XT features a suite of image enhancements designed by FLIR including Digital Detail Enhancement™ (DDE); Smart Scene Optimization™ (SSO), which enhances extremes in bi-modal scenes; Active Contrast Enhancement™ (ACE) that adjusts scene contrast relative to its temperature difference; and Information Based HEQ™ (IBHEQ) which compresses complex image data to create the best quality image.

Fingertip Control

The Zenmuse XT can be controlled completely through the DJI GO app, providing a real-time, low latency view of what the camera sees, and instant access to core camera functions including:

  • Spot metering, temperature measurement at the mid-point

  • Digital zoom

  • Single or interval shooting modes

  • Photo, video preview and download

  • Take photos while recording video

  • Various camera settings and parameters including:

    • -Palette, also referred to as Look-up Table (LUT)

    • -Scene, also referred to as Automatic Gain Correction (AGC)

    • -Region of Interest (ROI)

    • -Isotherm mode

    •

Seamless efficiency

When used with either the Inspire 1 or the Matrice 100, the Zenmuse XT can be put into the air in seconds. It is seamlessly integrated, giving it complete access to key features including the powerful Lightbridge video transmission system (providing up to 3.1 miles (5KM*) of HD range), automated Point of Interest, Course and Home Lock, Follow Me, and the DJI SDK.

When combined with the Inspire 1, the Zenmuse XT works with incredible speed, efficiency and convenience. If used with the Matrice 100, the Zenmuse XT can stay in-flight for up to 35 minutes, ideal for large scale inspections and especially useful in search and rescue scenarios.
